● Early Life
Born in Nigeria in December 10, 1984 , in 1988 she moved to England when she was four years old , her father at that time was a teacher in London and her mother is a worker in the London Subway . Helen attened the Cardinal Vaughan Memorial school for her secondary school and Corpus Cristi College , Cambridge.
● Career
When Helen was in Cardinal Vaughan memorial school , she wrote her first book ” The Icarus Girl ” that was when she was studying for Her A-Levels, The Icarus Girl tell the story of of a young girl who grows up between two different Cultures,coping with the worries and adolescence , The book took her seven months, upon the publication of the books, it was an international Sucess as it was shortlisted for the 2006, Commonwealth Writer prize.
In 2007, she published her second Novel , The opposite House which was inspired when she read a book of a Cuban legend in Foyles, the struggle to find a foothold in terms of an identity that Cuban slaves experienced in a society that was hostile to them . It was followed by her third novel White for Witching which published in May 2009 .
Her fourth Novel , Mr Fox was published in 2011 by Picador in the UK and by Riverhead Books in USA . Helen published her fifth Book Boy, Snow , Bird in 2014 , the book was published by Picador, her fifth books was a sucess as it was named the Best Books of 2014 by The New York times,The Washington Post, NPR and Buzz field.
In 2016, she published her a story collection ” What is not yours is not yours, in 2016 .her latest Novel Peaces which she published in 2021.
