Early Life

Wizkid was born on 16th  july 1990 in surulere, Lagos state , Nigeria to Alhaji Munuri Olatunju Balogun (Father ) and Jane Dolapo (Mother). His father is a Muslim while his mother is a Christian. Wizkid’s father had three wives. According to wizkid, he lives with his 12 female siblings at a young age until he got his apartment.

He attended Ijebu Ode Grammar school , Abeokuta, Ogun state for his secondary school education and then proceed to Lead City University when he studied International studies until 2010 when he dropped out of the school at 200 levels and went into music.

Music career

Wizkid was 11 years old of age when he began singing with a team of gospel group called The Glorious Five in which his stage name was Lil prinz that time .

In 2009, he began to record his debut studio under Empire mate Entertainment Record label, completing the album he released the debut album “Holla at your boy “. the song was was hit which brought him to prominence, he also won numerous award from the song.

In 2014, he released his self titled second album Ojuelegba, under his own record label “Starboy Entertainment”, the song was picked and remixed by drake and Skepta , this brought the rise of Wizkid into International Prominence . 

In 2018 , he collaborated with the American Singer Beyonce to produce “Brown skin Girl” the video of the song won the Grammy Award for the Best Video, 2018 . He has released a lots of Songs after then and he keeps making a great success in the music industry.
