Olamide was born on 15th march 1989 in Bariga, Lagos state, Nigeria to Pa Adedeji (Father) and Ronke OSisanya (mother) who was the second wife of Olamide father. He his the second born out of the three children his parent gave birth to, Olamide has two siblings TemmyGold and Eniola Olamilekan popularly known as Ennymoney who is also a singer.
He attended his primary and secondary around his community area, after completing his secondary school education, he then proceed to Tai Solarin University but he could not proceed further due to financial problem.
In 2011, he began his music career, when he dropped his debut studio album Rapsodi, when he was signed into Coded tunes label. The album lead single “Omo to Shan” was a hit track throughout the country that brought Olamide to prominence, he later left coded tunes and formed his own Record label,YBNL.
In November 2012, he released his second studio album “YBNL” which was supported by hit singles like Ilefo illuminati , First of all, stupid love and voice of street.
On October 8th of 2020, Olamide released his debut album “Carpe diem” in which he collaborated with other top musicians like Omah lay, Fireboy Dml, phyno , Bella Sharmuda and lot others.
On the 18th of 2021 he dropped his album “UY Scuti” , he made it publicly known that he is going for retirement after the release of the album.
