Early Life

Akindele Bello Olunfunke Ayodele popularly known as Jenifa or Funke Akindele is a Nigerian Actress, writer and producer .She was born on 24 August 1977 in Ikorodu, Lagos state , Nigeria.

Funke Akindele attended Grace primary school for her primary school education and Lagos state college, Igbo – okuta for her secondary school education, after obtaining her West Africa secondary school Certificate, She proceeded to Ogun state( Now Moshood Abiola polytechnic) where she obtained National diploma Degree in mass communication, she later went to Lagos State University where she earns a degree in Law.

Funke Akindele started her career at early age of 21 years , she joined the Nollywod movie industry, acting minor role and attending concert.

She rose to prominence when featured in the popular United Nations Population fund ( UNFPA) sponsored Sitcom, I need to Know which span from 1998 – 2023. On 2008 she released jenifa, in which she featured Odunlade Adekola, Adebayo Salami, Eniola Badmus Ronke Odusanya and Mosunmola Filani, this movie was a hit, earning her four nominations at the Africa Movie Academy in 2008 and Best Actress in a leading role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards for her role as Jenifa.

Jenifa inspired Funke Akundele to produce Jenifa Diary, a Sitcom that has been running since 2015, it was directed by JJC Skillz, starring Funke Akindele, Falz, Juliana Olayode, Tobi Makinde, and Lolo, and t has 292 episodes and 24 seasons.

Funke Akindele married Adeola Kehinde Oloyede on May 26, 2012, due to indifference between Couples they got divorced in July 2013. On May 2016 Akindele Married a Nigerian rapper and producer, Abdul Rasheed Bello popularly known as JJ Skillz in London, though JJ Skillz has a children before. On December 2018 the Couple welcomed a set of twins, which both are boys.
