* Early life
Born on November 12, 1985, in Accra Ghana, she is a descendant of the Fante and Ga people in Cape Coast, Ghana. Born to Mr. O.Nelson( father) and Magaret Gaddy (Mother), she is the last born of her parent, having three elder siblings which make them four children of their parents, Yvonne was brought up by her mother when her father allegedly abandoned them.
Yvonne attended St Martin De Porres, Accra Ghana for her primary school education and Aggrey Memorial Senior High School for her secondary education, after obtaining her West Africa Senior school certificate, She proceeded to Zenith University College and Central University where she obtained degree in Human Resources Management.
* Career
Yvonne started her career as a model when she first contested in Miss Aggrey when in Aggrey Memorial high school, winning Miss Aggrey, in 2005 she also contested for the 2005 miss Ghana beauty pageant edition, and though she did it win, she won the Best Talent Award by performing original rap song on HIV/ AIDS. Nelson has also been crowned the winner of miss photogenic and two other awards.
Having gained more ground and popularity, she landed a role in The Ghanaian Tv series, Fortune Island.
After deciding to pursue a career in her professional acting career, she starred in Princess Tyra, a 2007 Ghanian movie, acting as the main lead actress, featuring alongside Van Vicker , Jackie Appiah, Kofi Adjorlolo, and a lot of other prominent actors and actress, this movie was a hit, receiving 12 Nominations and 2 Awards at 2008 Africa Movie Academy Award, Yvonne Nelson was nominated for Best Actress in a leading and the most promising Actress.
Yvonne also starred in Crime to Christ (2007 ) and starred as Natasha in Playboy in 2008. In 2011, she divulged into Movie, her first movie production ” The price ” was also released that same year, it was followed closely by Single and married in 2012, and House Of Gold, a 2013 Nigerian Comedy film featuring star actors and actress Majid Michel, Yvonne Nelson, mercy machine, Francis bodega and other, this movie was a hit receiving Four nomination and Six Awards. Nelson gave birth to her daughter her ex-boyfriend, Jamie Robert on October 19, 2017. The actress remained silent about the rumors of her pregnancy until she announced the birth of her daughter through a WOW magazine cover.
After her breakup with her ex-boyfriend, she is not married and not in a relationship, this has been causing a stir on social media as they did not see her hanging out with men but only with women, most people think she is a lesbian but during an interview with Vanguard, this is what she said concerning her lesbianism status ” look at me… What did you think? Of cause, I’m not a Lesbian,”
