Segun Aina popularly known as Segun Arinze(Born on September 1965) is a Nigerian Nollywood Actor, Singer, producer and Production Manager, he is the former president of the Actor Guild of Nigeria and the current president of the Association of Voice Over Artistee of AVOAA Nigeria. He is famously known for his role in Role in Silent Night in which he acted as a Black arrow from which he got his name, he is also popular for his role in other movies including 30Days(2006), Window(2005) and the latest popular Nollywood Movie Blood Sister(2023)
Early Life
Born on September 24, 1965, in Onitsha to a Yoruba and Igbo parent, hence getting the Name Arinze which his mother called him, He hailed from Badagry, Lagos State Nigeria. Segun is the eldest son and Child of his parent.
Segun Arinze grew up in Onitsha, it was there he attended his primary school education after obtaining his primary school certificate, he proceeded to Victory College of Commerce, Ilorin for his secondary school education, but he did not complete his secondary there, he relocated to Kaduna where he enrolled at Taba Commercial College, Katsina state, it was there he completed his secondary school education, after obtaining his secondary school certificate, he proceeded to Obafemi Awolowo University where he studied and Bagged Degree in Dramatic studies.
Career
Arinze started his career first as a singer in 1985, at that point he was singing hip-hop seeing things did not turn up, he moves to the juju Genre, and his first debut album was titled “Dream”, he then decided to venture into Acting, He first started acting in Ilorin.
Segun Arinze first debuted in Silent Night as a Black arrow, Silent Night is a 1996 movie directed by Chico Ejiro, Arinze featured alongside Ayo Adesanya Hassan, Gbenga Adewuyi and Lola Adewuyi, the movie was shown in three-part, featuring Kate Henshaw-Nuttal, Ramsey Nouah, Joke Silva in Silent Night II and Ann Arinze, Ejike Asiegbu in Silent Night III, the movie was a success and hit, bringing him to prominence, his role in the movie also bagged his nomination at the Africa Academy Awards for best new actor and Most Promising Act to watch at Golden Movie Icon Academy Award.
In 1999, He made an appearance in Aba Riot I & II featuring alongside Rita Dominic, Kunle Coker and Co. In 2005, he debuted in the Window, a 2005 movie directed by Aguila Njamah and Kingsley major, featuring Stephanie Amata and Bena Balogun.

In 2006, Segun Arinze starred in 30 days, a Nollywood directed and written by Mildred Okwo, the movie depicts the story of someone killing off a corrupt government official meanwhile Kene jas just arrived for a 30-day vacation in his home country. His 30-day Vacation soon turns into a hellish ride on the train of political Intrigue, the movie feature Iyabo Amoke, Chet Anekwe, Genevieve Nnaji, Joke Silva and Nobert Young.
Segun Arinze is known for his role in acting, Thriller movies, he has also debuted in The Island (2018) and Blood sisters(2023). An accomplished actor, and a well-known personality, Segun has debuted in over 150 movies as an actor.

Segun is the proud father of Six children from three different Women, he is first married to his first wife, Ann who gave birth to his daughter, Renny they got divorced in 2008, and after the divorce, he got re-married to Julie and the smarting is blessed three children, Ayo(born on 10th February 2011), Femi(2nd March 2012) and Victoria (25th August 2014), he has two other children with an unknown woman.
