Ashley Allen Rinehart: What we know
Ashley Allen Rinehart is the daughter of Fess Parker and his wife, Marcella Belle Rinehart.
Ashley’s father, Fess, was an American film and television actor best known for his roles as Davy Crockett in the Walt Disney 1954–1955 ABC TV miniseries and as Daniel Boone in an NBC television series from 1964 to 1970. He was also a winemaker and a resort owner/operator.
Ashley is not her parents’ only child. Fess Elijah Parker was her brother.
Ashley Allen Rinehart’s parents met in what way? Much information about how the couple met has not been made public. They did, however, marry on January 18, 1960. Ashley’s father died on March 18, 2010, and the two spent the rest of their lives together. At the age of 85, he died of natural causes. Her mother also died in 2019.
Parker, Ashley Allen Rinehart’s father, devoted much of his time after his acting career to running his Fess Parker Family Winery and Vineyards in Los Olivos, California.
Parker’s family owns and operates the winery, which has produced a variety of award-winning wines. Elijah, Ashley’s brother, is president and director of winemaking and vineyard operations, and Ashley is vice president of marketing and sales.
The Parker operation encompasses more than 1,500 acres (610 ha) of vineyards, as well as a tasting room and visitor center along the Foxen Canyon Wine Trail. In addition to wine, the winery is known for selling coonskin caps and bottle toppers inspired by Parker’s Crockett and Boone characters, as well as its appearance in the film Sideways under a different name. Parker’s wine labels feature a golden coonskin cap logo, a nod to their father’s acting days.
Parker Rinehart, Ashley Allen Rinehart’s father, became interested in opening a Davy Crockett-themed amusement park. In the late 1960s, he purchased land in northern Kentucky near Interstates 71 and 75 with the intention of constructing Frontier World. When the Taft Broadcasting Company of Cincinnati, Ohio, began construction of Kings Island Amusement Park in nearby Mason, Ohio, less than a 2-hour drive from Parker’s site, financing for Parker’s venture dried up.
Ashley Allen Rinehart is married to Tim Snider, with whom she has two children.
Ashley (Ashley Parker Snider) and her brother, Eli Parker, are now the stewards of their father’s vision for the family business portfolio. Eli and Ashley collaborate closely with Winery President Tim Snider (Ashley’s husband), as well as their children, Spencer Shull, Regional Manager for Fess Parker Winery and Third Window Brewing, and Greer Shull, Director of Marketing for the Fess Parker Family Portfolio.
