Her contributions extended to the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF), where she oversaw a $100 million program aimed at nurturing and supporting 10,000 entrepreneurs over a decade. In 2018, Owen joined Transcorp as Executive Director, Corporate Services, and later ascended to the positions of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Transcorp Hotels Plc.
