Biography
Osita Iheme, MFR popularly known as Pawpaw is a famous Nigerian actor. He is best known for his entertaining portrayal of comedy characters which have gone viral all over the world. Osita is widely known for his portrayal of Pawpaw in the Nollywood classic, “Aki Na Ukwa” alongside friend, and colleague, Chinedu Ikedieze.
He is also the founder of Inspired Movement Africa which aims to “inspire, motivate and stimulate the minds of young Nigerians and Africans”. At the 2007 African Movie Academy Awards, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2011, Osita was honoured as a member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) by then president, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. Iheme is also considered to be one of the most famous actors in Nigeria and also in the African continent.
Early Life and Career
Osita grew up in Abia State, Nigeria. He has a MBA Degree from Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, IMT. After initially planning on pursuing a law career, He opted to be an actor instead. He kicked off his acting career in 1998 featuring in small film roles. At the beginning of his career, he was type cast as a child.
Osita Iheme was often typecast in the role of a child. In 2003 he rose to fame when he starred together with Chinedu Ikedieze in the comedy film Aki na Ukwa in which he played the role of Pawpaw. In 2018, Osita revealed plans to be a politician in the future. He is also the New Generation Ambassador for Rotary International District 9110 and authors the book “INSPIRED 101”.Like his onscreen partner Chinedu Ikedieze, Osita has a small physique. His stature gave him the advantage of being different from other actors in the Nigerian movie industry.

Osita Iheme was born in Mbaitolu, Imo State, Nigeria on the 20th day of February, 1982 and he is currently 40 years old (in 2023).
Awards
Osita who has been considered one of the most popular actors has received awards both locally and internationally. In 2007 he was given the lifetime Achievement award by AMAA (African movie Academy Awards). To recognize him for his immense contribution in the comedy genres of the film industry, he was awarded by then President of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan the MFR (The Nigerian National Honor of Member Of The Order Of the Federal Republic)
